This is an online only timed auction sale and is open to all registered bidders. There is no buyers premium on any of our lots.

Registration

If you don’t already have an account, simply register your details, create a new online account with us and you’re ready to go. Make sure you create an account as early as possible and at least 24 hours prior to the end of the sale to avoid disappointment. Once registered, you’ll receive an email confirmation and you’ll be able to bid.

Bidding

All bids to be made exclusively online. Bids can be made on each separate lot until and all lots have a specific countdown date and time. Where a reserve is shown, this is the minimum bid that will be accepted. In the case of unreserved lots, 70% of the lower estimate will be treated as a reserve. 

Bidding increments are as follows:

£5-£25 increment             £1

£25-£50 increment           £2

£50-£100 increment         £5

£100-£200 increment       £10

Above £200 increment     £20

Soft close auction ending Each lot will close with 1 minute apart. Importantly, if a bid is made within the last 60 seconds, the countdown will be reset, applying an additional 60 seconds to the lot end time.

Each lot will close in sequence, meaning that no lots will close until the current lot has timed out.

We would recommend you place your bids early enough since interest speeds and bandwidth can vary from place to place, especially from country to country. Avoid disappointment, closed lots cannot be re-opened. The auction uses proxy bidding which shows only the current winning bid, not the maximum bid placed. Viewing Each lot is fully illustrated using high-definition photography. Each photo can be fully enlarged.

By bidding, you agree to our terms and conditions. These Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with UK law. All lots are believed genuine, unless clearly stated to be contemporary or modern counterfeits. Bids must be made online and in £sterling, and can be made until the stated closing date and time. You will receive a final invoice, normally within 24hrs of the auction closure. Post and packaging charges will be added to your invoice and varies depending on location and amount. Lots will be sent by tracked and insured mail wherever possible. Payment is due on receipt of invoice for winning lots.

Payments to be made directly and securely via the checkout screens, which offers a choice of various payment methods. You must be logged into your account to process your payment. Payments must made in £sterling, drawn on a UK bank. Payment by cheque can be made out to Last Druid Coins Ltd and sent to Last Druid Coins, P.O. Box 10758, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG1 9LU, United Kingdom. Anyone wishing to pay using PayPal, an additional 3% should be added to the total invoice amount. Goods will be sent when payment in full has been cleared. All items are carefully placed in acid-free wallets inside a safe-t-mailer. A padded envelope is then used for extra safety.

Packaging may vary on the larger group lots, such as plastic tokens. We may ask you for numismatic references when joining as forms of identity or a deposit may be requested prior to bidding. We reserve the right to refuse registration, revoke access or retract bids at our discretion.
