18th Century Provincial Tokens, Hampshire

Southampton, Taylor, Moody & Co.; D&H 87, Westwood’s halfpenny struck in copper,  12.13g. One of the more militaristic Sir Bevois busts with decorative and ornate coat of arms. Die flaw to the reverse of the helmet, present on all issues, otherwise very well struck with glossy and even patina, almost cobalt appearance. Strong provenance, very rare, extremely fine.
