Bath, John Jelly D&H 5 variety, Lutwyche’s copper penny, 19.32g, struck on a large planchet. Edge as usual but overstruck on an ASYLUM edge, typically used penny planchet used for Middlesex 227a and 243, the latter being in the US section of this sale. Sharp with even brown colour. Extremely rare, one other currently documented*. Extremely fine.
