18^th Century Provincial Tokens, Warwickshire

Birmingham, Peter Kempson, D&H 10; The Greatheed Petition to Dismiss the King’s Ministers, 12.27g, penny in white metal, struck out of collar on a thin planchet. A little softly struck in parts with minor blemish in the obverse fields otherwise very sharp details for this, an often poorly survived variety. Superior to the very few examples that have appeared on the market in recent times, especially the D&H plate. Extremely rare, about extremely fine.
