18^th Century Provincial Tokens, Warwickshire

Coventry, Peter Kempson, D&H 277, proof halfpenny struck in silver, 15.42g. Some brush marks in the fields otherwise purple and blue cabinet toning and brilliant fields. Evidently, many of the silver proof specimens that have entered the market in recent times appear mishandled in the past. This piece certainly one of the finer surviving examples from the series. Extremely rare, about mint state.
