Middlesex End of Paine Halfpenny D&H 827, Rare

18th Century Provincial Tokens, Middlesex

London, End of Paine, Hancock and Jorden’s; D&H 827, halfpenny struck in copper. Rub to the high points but generally all details clear, evenly toned, fairly early die break to the obverse at 4 o’clock which develops into a large cud in later issues. A fairly tough Hanging Man variety,  rather scarce. Housed in an EF 45 holder, better than very fine.
