Bath, Kempson’s series of buildings; D&H 70, Argyle Chapel halfpenny struck in bronzed-copper. 28.75g. Some small cuds to parts of the rim otherwise sharply struck with even and attractive bronzed appearance. Certainly one of the tougher varieties of the series and listed as extremely rare. Comparable to our Spring 2021 fixed price list (£345) and strong provenance, extremely fine, obverse a little better.
