18th Century Provincial Tokens of Scotland, Lothian
Lothian, Leith, John White; DH 58bis, halfpenny struck in copper, 8.89g , 29.55mm. Struck from the reworked die of the standard DH 58 with the variety remaining unpublished. The red and brown surfaces provide strong eye appeal – the cataloguer has handled a few examples but none finer. Good extremely fine for issue . Very rare.
