18th Century Provincial Tokens, Middlesex

London, Soho,  Robert Orchard; D&H 399, copper halfpenny, struck on a broad (31.5mm) and heavier (13.88g) planchet than the standard issue. A particularly well-centred example, fully struck up on account of the thick planchet. Typical die break to the obverse, golden-brown fields and dramatic peripherals. Rare, good extremely fine.
