Anglesey, Amlwch, John Westwood; D&H 268, Westwood’s 1789 Pattern halfpenny struck in copper. Another Westwood pattern, this time a halfpence. Notice the PMCo cypher with the same PARIS MINES COMPANY as the D&H 250. Reverse flaw at the G of ANGLESEY otherwise, slight toning spot to the obverse. Otherwise, incredible red-orange patina, full original brilliance and virtually as struck (Gem). Rare.
