Lot 101 – Lincolnshire Wainfleet halfpenny D&H 8a, Gem
18th Century Provincial Tokens of England, Lincolnshire
Lincolnshire, Wainfleet, D Wright and S Palmer; D&H 8a, halfpenny struck in copper. The last of our Lincolnshire delights. The D&H 8a always seems to be struck from later polished dies, giving examples like this a proof-like appearance. Small spot to the obverse otherwise, practically mint state (Gem).
