Cobwright Collection of Thomas Spence, Part II, Middlesex
Middlesex, Little Turnstile, Thomas Spence; D&H 770, halfpenny struck in copper. Reverse always seen with the vertical die polishing lines in the centre field. These are in relief and not scratches although often mistaken when seen in hand. Choice brown with faded red original surfaces and underlying brilliance showing through. Good extremely fine.
