Northumberland, Newcastle, Thomas Spence; D&H 34, farthing struck in copper. Popular Slave reverse, as Middlesex 1089, softly struck and always flawed on the Newcastle farthings it seems. Otherwise, smooth brown with faded red, extremely fine. Rare.
