Warwickshire, Coventry Buildings Series, Peter Kempson; D&H 269, halfpenny struck in copper. One of five Coventry Gates varieties, offered with their original Kempson paper of issue. Incredibly, these will have been kept together since they were originally folded in the mint. Starting with what has been labelled as 8 – Mill-Lane Gate. Sharp, bronzed with brilliant surfaces radiating through an original patina. Good extremely fine. Rare.
