Lot 311 – CARMARTHENSHIRE MORGAN UNIFACE CONDER HALFPENNY D&H 3, RRR+
18th Century Provincial Tokens of Wales, Carmarthenshire
Carmarthenshire, Carmarthen, John Morgan; D&H 3, Hancock’s uniface halfpenny struck in copper. A wonderful and sharp representation of the Iron Works, fully struck up. Some typical softness in the legends, slight planchet clip visible from the reverse. Otherwise, an attractive example overall with hints of original colour. Less than a handful known, good extremely fine.. Exceedingly rare.
